Life is precious. Sometimes it takes something life-altering for us to wake up and be inspired to make a change. For me, that time came in August 2011 when a mass was found in my brain.

Up until that point, I had spent 2 years working full time in a job that was stressful and unfulfilling while simultaneously building my growing photography business in the evenings and on weekends. While my family was extremely supportive, my schedule left little time for them. I felt disconnected from them - and from myself. This new-found mass was a sign that something needed to change.
During the following 7 weeks, after a brain biopsy, many tests, and my wedding day, I learned the mass had shrunk on its own and, thankfully, was not a brain tumor after all. Looking back, that mass was one of the best things that have ever happened to me. It gave the time and a reason to fully re-evaluate my life and make some positive changes that were long overdue.
Here it is a little over a year later, and it has been the very best year of my life! For starters, I married my best friend!

I opted to not return to my previous full-time job and, instead, focus solely on my passion for photography.

I’ve built a very strong and successful business that has taken me both all over the country and internationally photographing portraits and weddings.

I have so much more quality time with my family, and my husband and I are happily awaiting the arrival of our first child in early 2013. Oh, what a difference a year makes!
Life is precious.

It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and its stresses. I cannot wait to help you not only learn to better use your camera to capture those special, fleeting moments of your family’s daily life but also inspire you to slow down, reflect, and rejuvenate yourself from within so you can live the fuller, more meaningful life you deserve.
I cannot wait to connect with you!
